Tree falls across river

leave a comment »

The banks of the Dodder river are gloriously wild and raggy with trees growing at every angle. If you close your ears to the traffic it’s easy to imagine that the path is meandering pleasantly through the countryside.

Every so often one of the trees falls, as you can see. But the bare patch soon fills in. I don’t know if anyone is keeping an eye on the river banks to see that the density of vegetation is maintained. Or is it just luck and nature that have kept it going so far?

Walk on.
